dr. arthur l. eberting graduated from missouri southern state college in 1980 with a bachelor’s degree in biology and with minors in both chemistry and psychology.
in 1983, after successfully meeting the certification requirements of both the national board of chiropractic examiners and missouri state board of chiropractic examiners, dr. eberting graduated from cleveland chiropractic college with a doctorate of chiropractic.while attending cleveland chiropractic college, dr. eberting received board certification hours specializing in physical therapy and was also successful in assisting in the establishment of a new research department at the college, which is in continuance today.while attending cleveland chiropractic college, dr. eberting was a member of beta chi ro honorary fraternity.
in1983, dr. eberting received the honorable status of “fellow” of the international academy of clinical acupuncture after successfully completing 150 hours of training and education.in 1995, he earned a second fellowship with the acupuncture society of america.the acupuncture education included additional information pertaining to oriental medicine, including the use of herbs in the treatment of disease and pain.dr. eberting offers a successful acupuncture treatment program to treat addictions such as tobacco, narcotics, and food.in 1998-99 dr. eberting successfully completed a pilot treatment program with pathways behavioral treatment center in the treatment of drug and alcohol addiction.dr. eberting has also been through an in-depth study of classical chinese acupuncture for the treatment of chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and sciatica.he is licensed through the state of missouri as a board certified practitioner able to practice the art and science of meridian therapy, acupressure and acupuncture.
in addition, dr. eberting has also completed additional hours in training and education specializing in spinal disability and impairment rating sponsored through the texas chiropractic college.dr. eberting attends a minimum of 24 hours annual postgraduate relicensing education that includes radiology, diagnosis, sports medicine, emergency medicine and acupuncture.
dr. eberting has over eleven years of experience in performing computer-assisted surface scanning paraspinal electromyography (emg for the spine).educational credits in electro-myographical analysis have been earned through the life college of chiropractic.
dr. eberting is a member of the missouri state chiropractic association and the area five chiropractic association of missouri. he was elected to serve as a testing physician for the national board of chiropractic examiners in 2009. twice a year he will attend and help to administer three days of testing for students graduating from chiropractic colleges nation wide. these are mandatory exams to practice in most of the states in the union.
dr. eberting has been actively involved in various community organizations for the past several years.in 1987, he was on the board of directors of the sunrise optimist club.in 1988, he served as the president of the clinton chamber of commerce.he also served on the clinton chamber of commerce board of directors from 1986 to 1989.
dr. eberting has been practicing in clinton since 1983 and is a second generation chiropractor. dr. art practiced with his father until 2005 when his father retired. his father began practicing in 1960.dr. eberting and his wife debbie have two children, emily and scott.they live on a small farm just outside of clinton.
